3. AI-Specific Data Handling
Because we are an AI consulting and education practice, we are explicit about how AI interacts with participant data:
- We do not use facial recognition, voiceprint analysis, or other biometric identifier processing on event recordings, registration photos, or participant communications.
- We do not feed your personal information into public AI training datasets or third-party AI models for training purposes.
- When AI tools assist us (e.g., scheduling, summarization, content drafting), they operate on de-identified or business-context data, with human review on consequential outputs — consistent with our Block-by-Block AI Safety and Security Alliance standard.
- Where AI-generated content is presented to you (in materials, emails, or events), we identify it as such consistent with applicable AI disclosure laws.
4. Recordings, Photographs, and Media
When you participate in a Pure Expertz event (in person or virtually), photographs, video, and audio recordings may be captured. The terms governing this are set forth in the Pure Expertz LLC Participant Agreement & Event Disclosure, which you sign at registration. In summary:
- Recordings are made for educational, promotional, and commercial purposes
- You may withdraw your consent for future use of your image, voice, or likeness by emailing support@pureexpertz.com with the subject "Media Release Withdrawal" — withdrawal applies prospectively only
- Recordings are made available to you through the relevant Pure Expertz cohort portal or replay library; redistribution outside the portal is prohibited
5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We share your information only as follows:
- Trusted service providers assisting us (CRM, payment processing, email infrastructure, hosting), bound by confidentiality and limited-purpose data use
- Legal compliance — when required by court order, subpoena, or applicable law
- With your explicit consent for specific purposes (e.g., directory listing, public testimonial)
- Business transactions — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer to the successor entity, subject to this Policy

8. State and Multi-State Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California (CCPA / CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), or any other state with comprehensive privacy legislation, you have additional specific rights granted by that state's law. 10. AI Legislative Compliance
Pure Expertz operates as a Certified WSI AI Consultancy and as the issuing entity of the Block by Block AI Safety & Security Alliance. We track and comply with applicable AI-related laws and regulations, including:
- Illinois HB 3773 — generative AI disclosure requirements; we identify AI-generated content where applicable
- Illinois AIVIA — Artificial Intelligence Video Interview Act; not applicable to our standard programs but tracked
- Illinois SB 2427 — AI in education standards
- Illinois BIPA — Biometric Information Privacy Act; we do not collect or process biometric identifiers
- Federal AI guidance — including FTC enforcement standards on AI deception, fairness, and transparency
We provide our community with timely updates as laws evolve. This Privacy Policy is reviewed monthly to maintain alignment.
11. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), restricted access to participant records, secure third-party processors, and regular security review. No system is impenetrable, however; we encourage you to use strong unique passwords and to notify us immediately at support@pureexpertz.com if you suspect any account compromise.
12. Children's Privacy
Our programs and websites are intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us at support@pureexpertz.com.
